Taprostene (CG-4203) is a synthetic, chemically stable analogue of Prostacyclin ( PGI2 ). Taprostene exhibits endothelium and myocardial protecting effects after acute myocardial ischemia and reperfusion in cats. Taprostene enhances cytoprotective actions, while minimizing unwanted hemodynamic effects [1].
