Bioactivity:
MK-0159 (compound 37) is a CD38 inhibitor with oral activity and selectivity. MK-0159 can inhibit CD38 in humans, mice and rats, with IC50 of 22, 3 and 70 nM respectively. MK-0159 showed good stability in human and rodent liver microsomes. MK-0159 can increase heart and whole blood NAD+(nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) and reduce ADPR (adenosine diphosphate ribose).
