Long Description:
Protein. Mouse full-length CREB-binding protein fused at the C-terminus to a His-tag. Source: Sf21 cells. Liquid. In 50mM TRIS-HCl, pH 7.5, containing 100mM sodium chloride, 0.2% NP-40, 50-100mM imidazole and 10% glycerol. Purity: >95% (SDS-PAGE). CREB-binding protein acetylates histones, giving a specific tag for transcriptional activation. It also acetylates non-histone proteins, like NCOA3 and FOXO1. It binds specifically to phosphorylated CREB and enhances its transcriptional activity toward cAMP-responsive genes. Acts as a coactivator of ALX1 in the presence of EP300.
