Long Description:
Chemical. CAS: 15663-27-1. Formula: Cl2H6N2Pt. Molecular Weight: 300.05. Cisplatin is an inorganic platinum complex with antineoplastic activity. Cisplatin is able to inhibit DNA synthesis by conforming DNA adducts in tumor cells. Cisplatin induces apoptosis and autophagy and activates ferroptosis. It is a potent chemoimmunotherapeutic drug and stimulates the immune responses by activating macrophages and other cells of the immune system. Cisplatin effects are regulated by kinases, phosphatases, and Ca2+/calmodulin.
