Background:
p38HOG kinase isactivated in responce to numerous extracellular signalling events. Stress stimuli such as UV irradiation, thermal stress, inflammatory cytokines and bacterial products such as LPS stimulate the activation of p38HOG kinase. p38HOG kinase is necessary for the cellular inflammatroy responce in animals.
