Long Description:
Chemical. CAS: 71367-28-7. Formula: C20H18O4. MW: 322.36. 9,10-anthracenedipropanoic-acid (ADPA) is a fluorescent singlet oxygen acceptor. It is a ROS indicator/quenching probe and can be used for the detection of singlet oxygen (O2). ADPA can selectively react with one O2 (a typical ROS), resulting in a corresponding decrease in its absorbance. ADPA is also used as a building block for synthesis of new singlet oxygen acceptors. The sodium salt can be produced by addition of NaOH.
