Overview

Host Type: Rabbit
Antibody Clonality: Polyclonal
Regulatory Status: RUO
Storage:
The lyophilized antiserum is shipped at ambient temperature and may be stored at +4°C; prolonged storage at or below -20°C. Dilutions may be prepared by adding phosphate buffered saline (PBS pH 7.2). Repeated thawing and freezing should be avoided. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage this should be removed by centrifugation. It will not affect the performance of the antiserum. Diluted antiserum should be stored at +4°C not refrozen and preferably used the same day.

Further Information

Applications Description:
Indirect immunofluorescence,ELISA,Dot blot,Immunoblotting. Haemolytic titre, at which 50% lysis occurs following mixing of equal volumes of antiserum, guinea pig complement (at a 1:60 dilution) and 5x108 RBC/ml, not less than 1:3,000 when tested with sheep erythrocytes.
Background:
To sensitize cells in haemolytic complement assays and for screening of T and T receptor-bearing lymphocytes.

Formulation:
Purified hyperimmune rabbit IgG lyophilized from a solution in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). No preservative added. Homologous proteins of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity has not been tested.
Product:
Purified hyperimmune rabbit IgG lyophilized from a solution in phosphate buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.2). No preservative added. Homologous proteins of different species frequently share antigenic determinants. Cross-reactivity has not been tested. Reconstitute the lyophilized antiserum by adding 1 ml sterile distilled water.
Source:
Washed whole erythrocytes were prepared from fresh blood and used for intravenous immunization. Freund?s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Specificity:
IgG fraction of polyclonal Rabbit antiSerum to Sheep erythrocytes.
