Analysis of HuProt(TM) microarray containing more than 19,000 full-length human proteins using CDX2 antibody (clone PCRP-CDX2-1A3). These results demonstrate the foremost specificity of the PCRP-CDX2-1A3 mAb. Z- and S- score: The Z-score represents the strength of a signal that an antibody (in combination with a fluorescently-tagged anti-IgG secondary Ab) produces when binding to a particular protein on the HuProt(TM) array. Z-scores are described in units of standard deviations (SD's) above the mean value of all signals generated on that array. If the targets on the HuProt(TM) are arranged in descending order of the Z-score, the S-score is the difference (also in units of SD's) between the Z-scores. The S-score therefore represents the relative target specificity of an Ab to its intended target.

Further Information

Application Details :
Immunohistochemistry (FFPE): 1-2ug/ml for 30 min at RT
Application Note:
Optimal dilution of the CDX2 antibody should be determined by the researcher.
Description:
The specificity of this monoclonal antibody to its intended target was validated by HuProtTMArray, containing more than 19,000, full-length human proteins. The intestine-specific transcription factors CDX1 and CDX2 are important for directing intestinal development, differentiation, proliferation and maintenance of the intestinal phenotype. CDX2 protein expression has been seen in GI carcinomas. Anti-CDX2 has been useful to establish GI origin of metastatic adenocarcinomas and carcinoidsand is especially useful to distinguish metastatic colorectal adenocarcinoma from lung adenocarcinoma. However, mucinous carcinomas of the ovary also express CDX2 protein. It limits the usefulness of this marker in the distinction of metastatic colorectal adenocarcinoma from mucinous carcinoma of the ovary.
