Long Description:
Chemical. CAS: 55804-65-4. Formula: C16H15NO4. Molecular Weight: 285.29. Coumarin 343, also known as coumarin 519, is a laser dye that exists in neutral or anionic form, depending on the pH of the medium. This compund is not cell-permeable. Coumarin 343 has been used in many different applications that include solution dynamic probes, laser dyes and organic sensitizers in dye-sensitized solar cells. It is a good organic-dye photosensitizer for injecting electrons efficiently into the conduction band of semiconductors, such as TiO2, ZrO2, and ZnO. Coumarin 343 has been used in MALDI and FRET applications. Spectral data: lambdamax 443nm (EtOH), lambdaex 490nm, lambdalaser 512-520nm (range).
