PEX3 Antibody: Peroxisomal biogenesis factor 3, Peroxin-3, Peroxisomal assembly protein PEX3
Application Note:
PEX3 (CT) Peptideis used for blocking the activity of thePEX3 (CT) Antibody
Background:
PEX3 Antibody: PEX3 is involved in peroxisome biosynthesis and integrity. It assembles membrane vesicles before the matrix proteins are translocated. As a docking factor for PEX19, PEX3 is necessary for the import of peroxisomal membrane proteins in the peroxisomes. Thus within the cell, PEX3 is stabilized by PEX19 preventing PEX3 aggregation. Mutations in the PEX19-binding domain of PEX3 reduce the affinity for PEX19 and destabilize PEX3.
