Bisucaberin is a siderophore and bacterial metabolite that has been found inA. haloplanktisand has anticancer activity.1,2It inhibits the growth of L1210 and 1MC carcinoma cells (IC50s = 9.7 and 12.7 μM, respectively) and sensitizes fibrosarcoma 1023 cells to macrophage-mediated cytolysis.
