Cinitapride is a gastroprokinetic agent. It slows the actions of the muscles to reduce the symptoms of conditions such as acid reflux, delayed gastric emptying, and ulcer dyspepsia. Cinitapride acts as an antagonist of the 5-HT2 receptors and as an agonist of the 5-HT1 and 5-HT4 receptors.
