Azapropazone is anti-inflammatory agent. Azapropazone has uricosuric properties used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. Azapropazone lowered plasma uric acid but exerted only a modest and variable uricosuric effect without altering urinary xanthine and hypoxanthine levels.
