Remogliflozin etabonate (GSK 189075A, GSK 189075) is an SGLT2 inhibitor, the prodrug of regaliflozin. Remogliflozin inhibits the sodium-glucose transporter (SGLT), which are responsible for glucose reabsorption in the kidney. Blocking this transporter causes blood sugar to be excreted from the urine.
