To detect Human Amphiregulin by sandwich ELISA (using 100ul/well), a concentration of 0.25-1.0 ug/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with Polyclonal Anti-Human Amphiregulin as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 2000-4000 pg/ml ofRecombinant Human Amphiregulin.

Application Note:
Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human Amphiregulin by sandwich ELISA (using 100μl/well), a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with ProSci?s Polyclonal Anti-Human Amphiregulin as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 2000-4000 pg/ml ofRecombinant Human Amphiregulin.
Western Blot
To detect Human Amphiregulin by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/ml. When used in conjunction with compatible development reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human Amphiregulin is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Background:
Amphiregulin is an EGF related growth factor that signals through the EGF/TGF-alpha receptor, and stimulates growth of keratinocytes, epithelial cells and some fibroblasts. Amphiregulin also inhibits the growth of certain carcinoma cell lines. Synthesized as a transmembrane protein, Amphiregulin?s extracellular domain is proteolytically processed to release the mature protein. There are 6 conserved cysteine residues, which form 3 intramolecular disulfide bonds essential for biological activity. Recombinant Human Amphiregulin is an 11.3 kDa glycoprotein consisting of 98 amino acid residues.

Immunogen:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Amphiregulin. Anti-Human Amphiregulin-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.
