Description:
CELLvo™ ChondroMatrix is an extracellular matrix (ECM) synthesized in vitro by human articular chondrocytes. This product is composed of proteins that were secreted and assembled by human articular chondrocytes during the production of the matrix. The final product is cell-free with only an ECM attached to the surface of the culture vessel. When you are ready to culture cells on the matrix, simply rehydrate the dish for one hour at 37 degrees Celsius. This cell culture substrate provides a native microenvironment, which can be used for rapid expansion of high quality human articular chondrocytes (HC-a). The images below display cells grown on ChondroMatrix, an illustration of proteins present on the dish, and the production of the matrix. The table demonstrates how cells grown on CELLvo™ ChondroMatrix express a higher Col2/Col1 ratio compared to cells grown on standard tissue culture plastic.
