Further Information

Additional Names:
Lipid A 1-diphosphate synthase, Kdo(2)-lipid A phosphotransferase, Undecaprenyl pyrophosphate:lipid A 1-phosphate phosphotransferase, Eck2168, yeiU
Application Notes:
WB: 0.5 μg/mL.

Antibody validated: Western Blot in E.coli samples. All other applications and species not yet tested.
Background:
LpxT is involved in the modification of the lipid A domain of lipopolysaccharides (LPS) and transfers a phosphate group from undecaprenyl pyrophosphate (C55-PP) to lipid A to form lipid A 1-diphosphate as well as contributes to the recycling of undecaprenyl phosphate (C55-P). In vitro, it has low undecaprenyl-diphosphate phosphatase activity.
