Long Description:
IL-18-binding protein (IL-18BP) is a secreted glycoprotein that functions as a natural anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive molecule neutralizing the effects of high IL18 levels during inflammation.1 There are four variants of IL-18BP and IL18BPa is the predominant form showing the highest affinity towards IL18.1, 2 IL-18 BPa has the potential to amplify anti-inflammatory actions of immunosuppressive drugs, and thus may prove to be a valuable novel pharmacological component in the treatment of human autoimmune diseases.3
Target:
IL-18 BPa
