Long Description:
CD62E, also known as E-Selectin, is a type I membrane glycoprotein that belongs to the selectin family of surface molecules which is activated by cytokines and mediates the binding of leukocytes. Like other selectins, it plays an important part in inflammation. During inflammation, E-selectin plays an important part in recruiting leukocytes to the site of injury.
