CD1d is expressed on monocytes, DCs, macrophages, and epithelial cells.
Concentration:
? 5.0 mg/ml
Conjugate/Tag/Label:
in vivo GOLD™, Purified in vivo Functional Grade
Format:
This monoclonal antibody is aseptically packaged and formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (150 mM NaCl) PBS pH 7.2 - 7.4 with no carrier protein, potassium, calcium or preservatives added. Due to inherent biochemical properties of antibodies, certain products may be prone to precipitation over time. Precipitation may be removed by aseptic centrifugation and/or filtration.

Long Description:
CD1d antibody, D5, recognizes human CD1d, also known as CD1.1 and Ly-38, a 48 kDa type 1 membrane glycoprotein that belongs to the cluster of differentiation 1 (CD1) family of glycoproteins. CD1d is expressed on epithelial cells and monocyte-derived antigen presenting cells (APCs), including monocytes, DCs, and macrophages1,2. CD1d is an MHC class I-like molecule involved in the presentation of lipid antigens, such as α-galactosylceramide (α-GalCer), to a highly conserved T cell subset, named invariant natural killer T (iNKT) cells or CD1d-restricted T cells1. Following activation, iNKT cells rapidly proliferate and produce large amounts of cytokines and cytolytic mediators3,4.
