FBS is harvested from the blood drawn from a bovine fetus. FBS is a large source of proteins, enzymes, carbohydrates, electrolytes, lipids and other components necessary in many cell culture applications to support overall cell growth. Leinco's Dialyzed (12-14kD) Fetal Bovine Serum is suitable for small molecule environments. This specific FBS aids in reducing the concentration of low molecular weight components such as nucleotides, amino acids, hormones', salts and various small proteins present in the serum.
