Long Description:
Mycoplasma genitalium (commonly referred to as Mgen) is a bacterium that infects the urinary and genital tracts of humans. It is a STI that is transmitted through sexual contact, including vaginal, anal, and oral sex. Infection can cause symptoms such as urethritis (inflammation of the urethra) in both men and women as well as cervicitis (inflammation of the cervix) and pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) in women. It has also been linked to infertility in both men and women.
