Background:
Members of solute carrier family 38 (SLC38) are sodium-coupled neutral amino acid transporters (SNATs) and resemble transporters involved in the classically described transport system A, which prefer short-chain neutral amino acids like alanine, serine, proline, and glutamine as substrates. SLC38A2, also known as SNAT2, is widely distributed in human tissues and is upregulated under hypertonic conditions and in amino acid deprivation. The depletion of SLC38A2 by siRNA hampers the recovery of cells from hypertonic stress.
Formulation:
100 ul volume of PBS containing 50% glycerol, pH 7.2. No preservative is contained.
Gene IDs:
Human: 54407 Mouse: 67760
Immunogen Translated:
Synthetic peptide derived from human SLC38A2
Reactivity:
This antibody can be used to stain endogenous antigen in paraffin embedded human tissues including the esophagus and breast cancer by Immunohistochemistry. The reactivity has been confirmed by Immunocytochemistry, intracellular Flow cytometry and Western blotting to detect the full length of human SLC38A2 transiently expressed in HEK 293T cells.
Shelf Life:
1 year
Source:
This antibody was affinity purified from rabbit serum. The rabbit was immunized with a synthetic peptide derived from human SLC38A2.
Target:
SLC38A2/SNAT2
