Background:
Stabilin-2 is a hyaluronic acid (HA) clearance receptor. It is also an endocytic receptor for advanced glycation end products (AGEs). Mouse stabilin-2 is expressed in hepatic sinusoidal endothelial cells. Targeted disruption of stabilin-2 results in circulating HA level. Treatment of this antibody in wild-type mice leads to elevation of circulating HA level.
