Background:
TNF receptor associated factor 2 (TRAF2) is thought to be a common signal transducer that associates with the cytoplasmic domains of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily such as TNFR2, CD40 and CD30. TRAF2 indirectly associates with TNFR1 through the association of TRADD. These associations result in the activation of NF-κB. TRAF2 was isolated as the TNFR2 associated protein by biochemical method. It contains an N-terminal RING finger motif and a C-terminal TRAF domain. Moreover TRAF2 interacts with cIAP1/HIAP2, cIAP2/HIAP1, I-TRAF/TANK, TRAF1, RIP and A20.
Concentration:
1 mg/mL
Formulation:
100 ug IgG in 100 ul volume of PBS containing 50% glycerol, pH 7.2. No preservative is contained.
Gene IDs:
Human: 7186 Mouse: 22030 Rat: 311786
Immunogen Translated:
Recombinant mouse full-length TRAF2
Reactivity:
This antibody reacts with human, mouse and rat TRAF2 on Western blotting.
Shelf Life:
1 year
Source:
This antibody was purified from hybridoma (clone 6F8) supernatant using protein G agarose. This hybridoma was established by fusion of mouse myeloma cell P3U1 with Wister rat splenocyte immunized with the recombinant full-length mouse TRAF2.
Target:
TRAF2
