Background:
Chitin Binding Domain (CBD) is a widely used protein fusion partner, since it provides exhibits little effect on the biological function of the protein of interest. The Bacillus circulans CBD has been used as an affinity tag in conjunction with a protein splicing element (intein) from Saccharomyces cerevisiae to create a novel protein purification system. The CBD-Tag fusion protein expression system allows for efficient coupling to Chitin agarose affinity resins and purification by a single step chromatography. This specific antibody for CBD-Tag fusion protein is useful for monitoring of the fusion protein expression and affinity purification.
Formulation:
100 ul PBS containing 50% glycerol,pH 7.2. Contains no preservatives.
Immunogen Translated:
Binding synthetic peptide KLH (TTNPGVSAWQVNTAYTAGQLVTYNGKTYK)
Reactivity:
This antibody reacts with Chitin Binding
Domain (CBD) by Western blotting.
