Background:
PABPC1, an RNA binding protein, binds to 3'-poly(A) tail of eukaryotic mRNA and plays multiple roles in post-transcriptional regulation of various RNAs, such as mRNA. PABPC1 functions as a stabilizer of mRNA containing poly(A) tail by binding to the element, while that also contributes to efficient translation of mRNA by forming a closed-loop structure through eIF4F complex, composed of eIF4E, eIF4A and eIF4G. It has been also reported that PABPC1 is involved in mRNA processing, nuclear export, RNA decay and miRNA-mediated gene silencing.
Concentration:
1 mg/mL
Description:
PABPC1 is a poly(A)-binding protein which regulates post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression via binding to poly(A) tail of an RNA. RN009M (Clone 10E10) is useful for RIP, WB, IP and IC.
