Background:
CD321, also known as F11 receptor (F11R), JAM-A, or JAM1, is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily. CD321 is an important regulator of tight junction assembly in epithelial cells. Overexpression of CD321 has been observed in invasive breast cancer, and is also associated with poor survival in pancreatic and endometrial cancers.
