Additional Names:
Serine/threonine-protein phosphatase PGAM5 mitochondrial, Bcl-XL-binding protein v68, Phosphoglycerate mutase family member 5
Application Note:
WB: 0.5 μg/mL; IF: 10-20 μg/mL.

Antibody validated: Western Blot in human, mouse, and rat samples; Immunofluorescence in human, mouse, and rat samples. All other applications and species not yet tested.
Background:
PGAM5 Antibody: PGAM5 is a central mediator for programmed necrosis induced by TNF and may be a regulator of mitochondrial dynamics. It displays phosphatase activity for serine/threonine residues, dephosphorylates and activates MAP3K5 kinase. It has apparently no phosphoglycerate mutase activity and is a substrate for a KEAP1-dependent ubiquitin ligase complex. It is also contributes to the repression of NFE2L2-dependent gene expression

Homology:
Predicted species reactivity based on immunogen sequence: gorilla (100%); Chimpanzee (100%); monkey (100%).
Immunogen:
Anti-PGAM5 antibody (9517) was raised against a peptide corresponding to 14 amino acids near the carboxyl terminus of human PGAM5.

The immunogen is located within the last 50 amino acids of PGAM5.
Isoforms:
Human PGAM5 has 2 isoforms, including isoform 1 (289aa, 32kD), and isoform 2 (255aa, 28kD). Mouse PGAM5 has 2 isoforms, including isoform 1 (288aa, 32kD) and isoform 2 (287aa, 31.9kD). Rat PGAM5 has one isoform (288aa, 32kD). 9517 can detect PGAM5 in human, mouse and rat
