2-(Cyclopropylethynyl)benzoic acid is a benzoic acid derivative, similar in structure to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin, with anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and anti-proliferative effects. 2-(Cyclopropylethynyl)benzoic acid can not only inhibit the expression of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-a), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and other pro-inflammatory cytokines, but also inhibit breast cancer, lung cancer and pancreatic cancer.
