MAT2A-IN-1 is a potent inhibitor of MAT2A and is capable of proliferative activity in MTAP-deficient cancer cells. MAT2A is expressed at unusually high levels in several tumour types, including gastric, colon, liver and pancreatic cancers, and MAT2A-IN-1 has shown potential for research into cancer disease (information from patent WO2021139775A1, compound 64).
