Bioactivity:
HSD-016 is a selective, potent, orally active inhibitor of type 1 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (11β-HSD1), capable of acting on human 11β-HSD1 (IC50: 11 nM), mouse 11β-HSD1 (IC50: 1 nM), and rat 11β-HSD1 (IC50: 8 nM). HSD-016 can be used to study type 2 diabetes.
