EM127 (compound 11c) is able to be used in the research of cancer especially SMYD3 positive tumours. EM127 is a high selective covalent inhibitor of SMYD3 with high affinity (Kd =13 uM) and site-specificity. EM127 effectively and prolongedly impairs the activity of methyltransferase. EM127 effectively inhibits phosphorylation of ERK1/2 and reduces transcriptional regulation of SMYD3 target genes [1].
