Bioactivity:
KS100 is a potent inhibitor of ALDH, acting on ALDH1A1 (IC50: 334 nM), ALDH2 (IC50: 2137 nM) and ALDH3A1 (IC50: 360 nM). KS100 significantly increases ROS activity, lipid peroxidation and the accumulation of toxic aldehydes, and has low toxic anti-proliferative and anti-cancer activities. KS100 blocks the cell cycle in G2/M phase and induces apoptosis.
