After opening, prepare aliquots and store at -20°C.Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
Immunogen:
Recombinant human PIDD (Death Domain: aa 776-910).
Long Description:
Polyclonal Antibody. Recognizes human and the native form of mouse PIDD. Detects bands of ~90kDa (full length protein) and ~50kDa (cleaved protein) by Western blot. Source: Rabbit. Applications: IHC, IP, WB. Liquid. In PBS containing 10% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide. PIDD promotes apoptosis downstream of the tumor suppressor as component of the DNA damage/stress response pathway that connects p53/TP53 to apoptosis. It associates with NEMO/IKBKG and RIP1 and enhances sumoylation and ubiquitination of NEMO/IKBKG which is important for activation of the transcription factor NF-kappa-B. It associates with caspase-2 and RAIDD, and induces activation of caspase-2 which is an important regulator in the apoptotic pathways.
