Long Description:
Polyclonal Antibody. Recognizes human, mouse and rat SLP-2. Source: Rabbit. Applications: ICC, IP, WB. Liquid. In PBS containing 0.02% sodium azide. SLP-2 (stomatin-like protein 2) is an unusual stomatin homolog. IT is a mitochondrial protein and functions in energy process by MMP maintenance, and subsequently affecting cell motility, proliferation and chemosensitivity. SLP-2 was identified as a cancer-related gene overexpressed in human ESCC, lung cancer, laryngeal cancer, and endometrial adenocarcinoma. In tumor cells, SLP-2 promotes cell growth, cell adhesion, and tumorigenesis.
