To detect hExodus-2 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 ul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.5 - 2.0 ug/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with ProSci?s Biotinylated Anti-Human Exodus-2 (XP-5128Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hExodus-2.

This antibody stained formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections of human prostate malignant adenocarcinoma. The recommended concentration is 0.75ug/ml with an overnight incubation at 4˚C. An HRP-labeled polymer detection system was used with a DAB chromogen. Heat induced antigen retrieval with a pH 6.0 sodium citrate buffer is recommended. Optimal concentrations and conditions may vary.

Background:
Exodus 2 is one of several CC cytokine genes clustered on the p arm of chromosome 9. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterised by two adjacent cysteines. Similar to other chemokines the protein encoded by this gene inhibits hemopoiesis and stimulates chemotaxis. This protein is chemotactic in vitro for thymocytes and activated T cells, but not for B cells, macrophages, or neutrophils.

batch dependent

Unconjugated
Immunogen:
Produced from sera of rabbits pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant hExodus-2 (human Exodus-2).
