Additional Names:
AFM, ALF, ALB2, ALBA
Application Note:
AFM antibody can be used for detection of AFM by ELISA at 1:12500. AFM antibody can be used for detection of AFM by western blot at 0.5 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
AFM is a member of the albumin gene family, which is comprised of four genes that localize to chromosome 4 in a tandem arrangement. These four genes encode structurally-related serum transport proteins that are known to be evolutionarily related. AFM is regulated developmentally, expressed in the liver and secreted into the bloodstream. This gene is a member of the albumin gene family, which is comprised of four genes that localize to chromosome 4 in a tandem arrangement.
