Application Note:
MBP-1 antibody can be used for detection of MBP-1 by ELISA at 1:312500. MBP-1 antibody can be used for detection of MBP-1 by western blot at 0.5 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
MBP-1 encodes one of three enolase isoenzymes found in mammals; it encodes alpha-enolase, a homodimeric soluble enzyme, and also encodes a shorter monomeric structural lens protein, tau-crystallin. The product of this gene may play a role in the suppression of prostate cancer cell growth by regulating the MEK5-mediated signaling pathway.
