Further Information

Additional Names:
BCKDK, BDK, BCKDKD
Application Note:
BCKDK antibody can be used for detection of BCKDK by ELISA at 1:62500. BCKDK antibody can be used for detection of BCKDK by western blot at 0.5 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
BCKDK belongs to the PDK/BCKDK protein kinase family. It contains 1 histidine kinase domain. BCKDK catalyzes the phosphorylation and inactivation of the branched-chain alpha-ketoacid dehydrogenase complex, the key regulatory enzyme of the valine, leucine and isoleucine catabolic pathways. BCKDK is the key enzyme that regulates the activity state of the BCKD complex.
