Further Information

Additional Names:
PIGQ, GPI1, MGC12693, c407A10.1, hGPI1
Application Note:
PIGQ antibody can be used for detection of PIGQ by ELISA at 1:312500. PIGQ antibody can be used for detection of PIGQ by western blot at 1 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
PIGQ is involved in the first step in glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchor biosynthesis. The GPI-anchor is a glycolipid found on many blood cells and serves to anchor proteins to the cell surface. PIGQ is a N-acetylglucosaminyl transferase component that is part of the complex that catalyzes transfer of N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) from UDP-GlcNAc to phosphatidylinositol (PI).This gene is involved in the first step in glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchor biosynthesis.
