This antibody stained formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections of human normal placenta.  The recommended concentration is 2.5 ug/ml with an overnight incubation at 4°C.  An HRP-labeled polymer detection system was used with a DAB chromogen.  Heat induced antigen retrieval with a pH 8.0 buffer is recommended. Optimal concentrations and conditions may vary.

Background:
LIGHT is a type II membrane protein belonging to the TNF family of membrane-anchored ligands. It is expressed in splenocytes, activated PBL, CD8+ tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, granulocytes and monocytes. LIGHT has the ability to activate NFkB, stimulate proliferation of lymphocytes, and induce apoptosis in certain human tumor cells.
