Further Information

Additional Names:
CHRNA5, LNCR2
Application Note:
CHRNA5 antibody can be used for detection of CHRNA5 by ELISA at 1:12500. CHRNA5 antibody can be used for detection of CHRNA5 by western blot at 1.0 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
Nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs), such as CHRNA5, are members of a superfamily of ligand-gated ion channels that mediate fast signal transmission at synapses. The nAChRs are thought to be (hetero)pentamers composed of homologous subunits.
