This antibody stained formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections of human breast malignant carcinoma. The recommended concentration is 5.0 ug/ml with an overnight incubation at 4°C. An HRP-labeled polymer detection system was used with a DAB chromogen. Heat induced antigen retrieval with a pH 9.0 buffer is recommended. See photo(s). Optimal concentrations and conditions may vary.

Additional Names:
OP-1, Bone morphogenetic protein, OP1, Bone morphogenetic protein 7, Osteogenic protein 1, BMP-7, OP-1
Application Note:
ELISA:

In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 μL/well), when used as a capture antibody at a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μg/mL, this antibody will detect at least 100 pg/mL of recombinant human BMP-7/OP-1 when used with our biotinylated antigen affinity purified-hBMP-7 as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 0.5-1.0 μg/mL.
Background:
BMPs (bone morphogenetic proteins) belong to the TGF beta superfamily of structurally related signaling proteins. Members of this superfamily are widely represented throughout the animal kingdom and have been implicated in a variety of developmental processes. Proteins of the TGF beta superfamily are disulfide-linked dimers composed of two 12-15 kDa polypeptide chains. As implied by their name, BMPs initiate, promote and regulate bone development, growth, remodeling and repair.
Concentration:
batch dependent
Conjugate:
Unconjugated
Immunogen:
BMP-7 antibody is produced in mice using highly pure (>98%) recombinant human BMP-7 as the immunizing antigen.
