Further Information

Additional Names:
EIF4E2, 4EHP, IF4e, 4E-LP, EIF4EL3
Application Note:
EIF4E2 antibody can be used for detection of EIF4E2 by ELISA at 1:62500. EIF4E2 antibody can be used for detection of EIF4E2 by western blot at 2.5 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
EIF4E2 belongs to the eukaryotic initiation factor 4E family. It recognizes and binds the 7-methylguanosine-containing mRNA cap during an early step in the initiation of protein synthesis and facilitates ribosome binding by inducing the unwinding of the mRNAs secondary structures.
