Application Note:
UGCGL2 antibody can be used for detection of UGCGL2 by ELISA at 1:12500. UGCGL2 antibody can be used for detection of UGCGL2 by western blot at 1 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
UGCGL2 recognizes glycoproteins with minor folding defects. UGCGL2 reglucosylates single N-glycans near the misfolded part of the protein, thus providing quality control for protein folding in the endoplasmic reticulum. Reglucosylated proteins are recognized by calreticulin for recycling to the endoplasmic reticulum and refolding or degradation.
