To detect hLIGHT by sandwich ELISA (using 100 ul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 ? 1.0 ug/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with ProSci?s Polyclonal Anti-Human LIGHT (XP-5215) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 ? 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hLIGHT.

To detect hLIGHT by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hLIGHT is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Background:
LIGHT is a type II membrane protein belonging to the TNF family of membrane-anchored ligands. It is expressed in splenocytes, activated PBL, CD8+ tumor infiltrating lymphocytes, granulocytes and monocytes. LIGHT has the ability to activate NFkB, stimulate proliferation of lymphocytes, and induce apoptosis in certain human tumor cells.
Concentration:
batch dependent
Conjugate:
Biotin
Immunogen:
Produced from sera of rabbits pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant hLIGHT (human LIGHT).
