Application Note:
Septin 4 antibody can be used for detection of Septin 4 by ELISA at 1:62500. Septin 4 antibody can be used for detection of Septin 4 by western blot at 0.5 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
The SEPT4 gene is a member of the septin gene family of nucleotide binding proteins, originally described in yeast as cell division cycle regulatory proteins. Septins are highly conserved in yeast, Drosophila, and mouse and appear to regulate cytoskeletal organization. SEPT4 encodes a protein that is thought to be part of a complex involved in cytokinesis.
