Further Information

Additional Names:
STXBP1, MUNC18-1, UNC18, hUNC18, rbSec1, P67, NSEC1, RBSEC1
Application Note:
STXBP1 antibody can be used for detection of STXBP1 by ELISA at 1:12500. STXBP1 antibody can be used for detection of STXBP1 by western blot at 1 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
STXBP1 belongs to the STXBP/unc-18/SEC1 family. It may participate in the regulation of synaptic vesicle docking and fusion, possibly through interaction with GTP-binding proteins. The protein is essential for neurotransmission and binds syntaxin, a component of the synaptic vesicle fusion machinery probably in a 1:1 ratio. It can interact with syntaxins 1, 2, and 3 but not syntaxin 4.
