Application Note:
TNP1 antibody can be used for detection of TNP1 by ELISA at 1:62500. TNP1 antibody can be used for detection of TNP1 by western blot at 1 μg/mL, and HRP conjugated secondary antibody should be diluted 1:50,000 - 100,000.
Background:
TNP1 is a spermatid-specific product of the haploid genome which replaces histone and is itself replaced in the mature sperm by the protamines.Transition protein-1 is a spermatid-specific product of the haploid genome which replaces histone and is itself replaced in the mature sperm by the protamines (see PRM1, MIM 182880; PRM2, MIM 182890) (Luerssen et al., 1990 [PubMed 2249851]).
